Taylor Made Roofers

We recently used Taylor Made Roofers Ltd for roofing work on our property and were extremely impressed from start to finish. Patrick and his team were professional, reliable, and kept us informed throughout the whole job. The workmanship was completed to a very high standard, the site was left clean and tidy each day, and the team were polite and respectful at all times. The quote was clear with no hidden costs, and the work was finished within the timescale agreed. It’s refreshing to find a roofing company that takes such pride in its work and genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. We would have no hesitation in recommending Taylor Made Roofers Ltd to family and friends and will certainly use them again for any future roofing work.

Initially contacted Patrick and James for guttering, soffit and fascia work, then subsequently had our whole roof replaced. Detailed advice given of what was required. High quality materials and workmanship by the teams from Taylor Made Roofers throughout. Would highly recommend.

Our church awarded the roof repairs contract to the Taylor Made Roofers and the quality of their work beat our expectations in a timely manner and cost efficient. Patrick, the team lead, was very polite all through and conscientious in all his dealings with us and with so much reverence for the place of worship. A leak in our roof one night prompted me to seek an ‘emergency’ roofer the next morning. After a brief scan of the internet, we chose Taylor Made Roofers and were delighted that Patrick arrived within a couple of hours to survey the damage. His initial approach was friendly and courteous and inspired confidence. He concluded that the problem was with the chimney and undertook to fix the leak within a week or so dependent upon a deposit of 25% of the total cost. We agreed and, admittedly a little nervously, transferred the deposit to his account. At first, our caution seemed justified as, after three days of no further communication from Taylor Made Roofers, we still had received no receipt. Things seemed to get worse when we discovered that the company no longer trades from the address on their website. Once communication had been restored, however, we were reassured by Patrick that the work would commence soon and, indeed, scaffolding was erected the next day. Less than a week later, Patrick and one other arrived to solve the problem. They removed and replaced the damaged lead flashing and render from around the base of the chimney. They reflaunched the chimney pots and re-bedded and secured the ridge tiles. Patrick photographed the work as it progressed and shared the photographs with me, explaining what was involved. The work was completed within the day. On balance, I can recommend Taylor Made Roofers for similar work. The work is professionally done to an apparent high standard and at a reasonable cost. I would conclude, however, that this company would benefit from a more transparent and customer-friendly form of communication by email and telephone.

We've had no end of issues with this company, although our roof is now water tight I wouldn't have them back, the two stars reflect that. Pat came round really selling themslves, they had done roofs like ours (an older property) plenty of times and they are experts at relaying our tiles so we acceted the quote in good faith we'd made the rite choice, (we did ahve 3 other quotes but Pat seemed to know what he was doing). First day we came home from a trip found them throwing rubble onto our flower beds, when asked them to stop Pat said we should have been more clear on what we expected, we expect our property and garden to be respected and not destroyed. Became apparent that Pat was not doing any of the work himself instead there were two 17 year olds and one older man doing the job. It is some of the worst lead flashing we have ever seen (both work in construction). Part of our ceiling came down (this was after I complained about how they were allowing things to drop onto our ceiling with no care, that this was bound to cause damage to our 100s year old roof). Did they stop doing this no, they continued to the point our ceiling did come down and I have now got a lime plasterer in my house to make these repairs. I heard them mocking me because I complained about the damage, side note when your on peoples roofs they can hear your conversations. I caught them weeing on my house a number of times despite me complaining about this and there being an outside toilet. Was Pat anywhere to be found? No, did Pat asnwer his phone, no. The tiles do not meet up properly and are not flush (despite them apparenly having loads of experience in this, I guess thats what you get when you have two young lads working on your house). The lead flashing is atrocious, we rasied this the day we came home and saw the finish, Pat said he would come and have a look, 3-4 weeks later no Pat, I leave a review all of a sudden Pats in touch and had every intention of rectifying this, sure. They came back later that week and recitfied one area (that did look horrendous) but completed it in cement and not lime. They ignored out lead flashing, some of the worst lead flashig I have ever seen, I've had 2nd and 3rd opinions from roofers and all the same response, scruffy and rushed. After the visit, we informed Pat we were not happy and disappointed, his reponse was he wasn't aware we wanted to lead flashing sorting out despite this being raised over 4 times now, it was very clear we wanted this rectified, I said myself to Pat after my review it is emabarassing and was not acceptable. Pat said, we have since sacked the two 17 year olds, I hope that helps a little, no it does not help because the damage to our proeprty is alreday done and you DID NOT manage the job, you missold me skills and experience and left me with a mess to rectify. We now have asked him not to come back to our property, you do not have the skills to do this job, do not contact us unless it is regarding the damage to the property and we will front the cost with another roofing company to finish the job.

What excellent service! Desperate for a roofer I contacted several. I thought I had one, who turned out to be a rogue. Although Peter knew he persuaded me to to let him quote for the job, which was to tie the roof down. I am so glad I agreed. He arrive proudly, in his smart van, not a Mondeo with a ladder slung on top. He was appropriately clothed for the job, he was polite, he did a thorough check of the roof, offered me a price I could accept and then, knowing the difficulty I was in started the job the next day. As I lived over 160 miles away he sent photographs of every stage of the works and he did a 'belts and braces' job. Thanks Peter not only did you do and excellent job, at all times you behaved in a thoroughly professional manner .

Fixed my roof and put a new roof on my garage , I accepted the quote as it was very reasonable within a coupe of days him and his work force did the job , they did it in a day and also did the job to a good standard Im very happy and would recommend 👍
