Conducted a sweep and fitted 3 new chimney pots to combat damp. Great communications providing photos via WhatsApp to give examples of work to be conducted. During the clean left my front room spotless. A good, polite efficient service.

After moving into a house that needed a lot of renovation one of the first things on the list was getting rid of the old gas fireplace and replacing it with a wood burning stove. Luke was recommended to us - and from the very first message to him he was excellent. They came round soon after and looked at our fireplaces, discussing the options and listening to our ideas. Luke then sent through a detailed plan & quote which outlined the work suggested. Within weeks they had stripped back the 4 substantial fireplaces in our home, including salvaging the original upstairs mantlepiece for use around our new stove. This is a dusty job but they kept the dirt and disruption to a minimum – covering all furniture and floors before undertaking the work with great skill & care. Before they could install the wood burning stove there was a delay as our chimney had to be dismantled and rebuilt by a stonemason. Luke was flexible enough to delay the scheduled install by 4 weeks whilst this was done. A further request to add chimney pots & cowls to the newly rebuilt chimney was taken on by Luke & Chris without fuss too. The end result is we now have a weathertight chimney and a fabulous stove & fireplace. We couldn’t be happier with Luke & Chris’ work – their skill and eye for detail was first rate. Overall the entire experience from start to finish was excellent. If only all companies could be as easy & pleasurable to deal with as Agnew Chimney Engineering! I will be recommending them to anyone looking for chimney & stove work.

I was so impressed with this company - the entire experience from start to finish was excellent. Luke’s calm confident manner - and that of his colleague - was so reassuring when undertaking this tricky job! They really listened to what I wanted and managed to retain and restore an original fireplace opening to house a wood burning stove. I am absolutely delighted with the end result - great job!

Luke just visited the house to carry out a chimney sweep and maintenance. He was recommended to us and I will be recommending to others. Very efficient and professional. Will be booking him yearly to ensure the safe running of our fireplace.

Couldn’t recommend Luke enough. Put a stove in for me just after I moved into a house in Bearsden. Communication was great and work was completed in 2 days. He’s since been back to install a vent top on another chimney and did a great job. For anybody wanting this kind of work done Luke is your man!
