The Purple Sweep Ltd

The Purple Sweep Ltd is a Brighton & Hove based chimney sweep serving areas across Sussex. It is a certified member of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps and is fully insured. The company uses traditional and modern sweeping methods. It offers a log burner and multifuel stove repair service. A type 2 smoke test is performed with every sweep.

Brighton residents relying on wood burners and open fires feature prominently among those leaving feedback, and Rob is named repeatedly as the person carrying out the work. Punctuality is a theme running through the accounts, with visits taking place at the agreed hour and short-notice appointments accommodated where possible. Equally common is praise for how the home is left, as flues are swept without soot or dust being spread through the rooms and everything is restored to a spotless condition.

Reviewers frequently value the practical guidance offered, whether on smokeless fuels, bird guards for the chimney or the smoke control zones affecting the local area, and the explanations are described as clear and easy to follow. Communication before and after each visit is mentioned often, with bookings made simply and questions answered once the sweep is complete. Rob comes across as friendly and knowledgeable, and the amounts charged are considered reasonable for the work done. Servicing a wood burner and cleaning a chimney, alongside advice on fuel and chimney protection, is the recurring subject, with repeat bookings for the next year.
