Charlie Chimney Sweep

Charlie Chimney Sweep is an independent chimney sweep with over 14 years of experience. The business is fully insured and offers a 1-year guarantee. It uses handmade brushes from Tamar Brushes and vacuums with a 4-stage HEPA filter. Services include sweeping open fires, wood burning stoves, and gas flues.

CCTV checks are provided with photos and video record, and a chimney sweeping certificate is issued after sweeping. Charlie Chimney Sweep covers Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Portslade, Woodingdean, Saltdean, Shoreham, Lewes, Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Burgess Hill, Albourne, Henfield, Poynings, Rottingdean, and Ovingdean.

Owners of wood burners and open fires in Brighton have called on this chimney sweep repeatedly across several years, and the accounts point to a steady pattern of thorough work. Customers describe Charlie as knowledgeable and helpful, and an aspect raised across a number of reviews is the care taken to sweep chimney flues methodically and leave the hearth and surrounding space spotless once the job is done. A recurring theme in the feedback is his readiness to take on extra repairs during a visit, such as fitting a replacement backplate to a wood burner and refastening the glass in a stove door.

Reliability features frequently, with long-standing clients noting that he has attended their properties over many seasons. Charges are described as reasonable and as sound value, while the reassurance of knowing a flue has been cleaned properly is mentioned repeatedly by those who light log fires. Tidiness, expertise and an approachable manner are the qualities singled out most, and the practical work on stoves and flues complements the routine sweeping service. Repeat custom and personal recommendations run through the accounts.
