M Dole Chimneys

M Dole Chimneys is a family business established in 1964 and has served London since then. The business is owned by Mike Dole and has over 60 years of family experience sweeping and repairing chimneys and flues. It is a HETAS Registered Installer. The service area includes Camden, Islington, Westminster, Chelsea, Kensington, Haringey, Putney, Hampstead NW3, Highgate N6, Kentish Town, Camden Town NW1, Hackney, Highbury, Hornsey, Holloway, Tufnell Park, St John's Wood, and most of North London, Northwest London, Central London and Southwest London.

Main services include chimney sweeping, flue lining, CCTV inspections, bird nest removal, birdguard supply and fitting, chimney testing, CO alarm supply, commercial chimney sweeping, HETAS service and maintenance, stove repairs, and fireplace and log burner installation.

Householders with blocked flues, listed properties and newly fitted stoves feature among the projects undertaken by this chimney business, whose work draws consistently favourable comment. Sweeping, testing and certifying of several chimneys recurs across the accounts, as does the installation of liners, the reopening of a sealed fireplace and the fitting of stoves with stone surrounds. Customers repeatedly mention a professional and courteous manner, punctual attendance and swift completion, with one describing a badly obstructed flue cleared within forty minutes. Tidiness is a point that comes up often, floors and furnishings being left clean after sweeping and liner work.

Reviewers value the clear explanations and practical suggestions offered, including guidance on a more adaptable stove choice and on further corrective measures. The firm is also praised for addressing concerns and returning to put matters right, a follow-up visit being arranged at a customer's convenience. Sweeping at a Grade II listed property in the EC2 district is among the assignments singled out, and competitive pricing for the work carried out is a further theme. The abiding impression is of knowledgeable, considerate tradespeople who leave fireplaces and flues in sound working order.
