M T Asphalt Roofing Services Brighton

MT Asphalt is a family-run flat roofing company with 25 years of experience in the flat roofing industry. The company is based in Brighton, East Sussex, and its service area includes Brighton, the South Coast, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, and parts of Dorset. It focuses on mastic asphalt and built-up felt systems in the residential and industrial sectors.

All employees are NVQ or City and Guilds trained to level 2/3. The company's legal entity is Mark Thewlis t/a MT Asphalt Ltd. Services include installing mastic asphalt and high-performance felt roofing systems, and carrying out repairs. It offers free no-obligation quotations, provides a 24-hour phone service, supplies quotations within 24 hours, and offers late working hours from 7am to 8pm where required.

Mark and his team are repeatedly praised for a combination of skilled workmanship and clear communication, a theme that runs through nearly every account of their projects across Brighton. Reviewers describe how Mark responds promptly to enquiries, explains the available options such as insulation, and provides a transparent breakdown of costs before any work begins. Once on site, the crew is described as punctual and efficient, completing flat roof replacements, asphalt roof work, garage roof repairs after storm damage, balcony waterproofing and roof light weatherproofing to a high standard.

An aspect raised across a number of reviews is the tidiness of the operation: the site is swept each evening, materials are removed, and the area is left spotless with no trace of the work. Several customers mention that quotes were supplied quickly, sometimes on the same day as the initial visit, and that Mark kept them informed at every stage from start to finish, fitting jobs in sooner than expected when weather allowed. The friendliness and professionalism of Mark himself, alongside the quality of the finish, are credited with turning first-time clients into repeat customers.
