We have been using Shearer roofing now for decades and would not trust anyone else to take care of our roof! They completely re-slated our house around 20 years ago when we moved in and made a fantastic job of it. Since then - we have had them back to deal with upkeep and various storm damages - work always carried out to the highest standard with great comms and customer relations. When we had an extension built the contractor made such a poor job of it that after a year of constant leaks we had to get Shearer out to fix what was clearly a bodged job. As always - perfect result!

Getting a Roofer tradesman can be a mine field, they have poor reputations due to stories of people being ripped off, until you find a professional. J Shearer Roofing Ltd dont regard any jobs as too small, they dont create fictitous repairs that you are unable to access, nor do they say your roof is in a very serious condition requiring a full replacement, They use a drone fitted with a camera and take pics before/after repair or replacement. Surveyers have years of experience and are very knowledgeable. The guys that did a first class job for me worked flat out and even repaired a couple of faults they spotted, All staff I spoke to are cheery, polite and helpful. J. Shearer were really easy to deal with, and very communicative throughout. Our problem was on a tenement roof in the city centre, requiring quite a lot of scaffolding. The surveyor was prompt and efficient, and explained the situation very clearly. The job was organised and completed quickly, and the repair seems to have been successful - time, of course, will tell! The price seems fair, considering the scaffolding cost, and I would have no hesitation is using the company again.
