Wilson's Chimney Specialist Ltd

Wilson's Chimney Specialist Ltd is a family-run chimney sweep business based in Liverpool, operating since 1995 with over 30 years of experience. The company serves Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral. It is Checkatrade approved. Services include chimney sweeping and smoke testing, and the company issues chimney inspection certificates.

It supplies and fits all types of flue liners for gas and multi-fuel, as well as all types of pots and cowls. The company works on 3 and 4 storey properties and carries out all types of stack work, lowering and repairing. It offers bird removal, fits nest spikes on stacks, and provides seagull prevention. It disconnects and blanks gas fires, and offers installations and inspections, including new stove installation.

Households with period fireplaces and commercial premises alike have turned to this Liverpool chimney specialist for work that ranges from routine annual sweeping to the fitting of flue liners, cowls and chimney caps. Several customers describe the team as quick to respond and punctual, arriving when promised and keeping in touch about visit timing, which matters when a dead bird or a long-neglected flue needs urgent attention. Reviews time and again mention the care taken over cleanliness, with dust and rubble bagged up and the work area left tidy after sweeping behind bedroom chimneys or clearing decades of soot from a Victorian fireplace.

Advice is another recurring theme, whether on restoring a fireplace into a feature or on future-proofing other parts of a stack, and the friendliness of named staff such as Carl and Ste comes up often. Reviewers also note that extra work was carried out without charge and an old aerial removed, while a thorough sweep of an industrial furnace was handled with courtesy for the surrounding workspace. Long-standing custom over many years is mentioned, and the practical outcome most often noted is a clean, efficient sweep with a new cowl or cover fitted.
