Mark Winters Leadwork & Roofing

We recently had Mark undertake repairs to the roof of our Victorian terraced house - including lead work on a bay window. Mark is an excellent communicator, this was clear when he came out to assess the roof and what was needed, using a drone plus getting actual ladders out and conducting a thorough inspection. Mark explained the options to us and the costs for the various levels of repair. He followed this up with written quotation. The work was completed to a high standard and as scheduled, Mark explained what he was doing and how it was progressing as he went along, so there were no surprises. The lead work on the bay window is especially lovely. Mark is very personable and was a pleasure to chat to, likewise his occasional teammate Dan. Both worked very hard in some rough weather to make sure they got the job done. I would reach out to Mark again for all things roofing and therefore would happily recommend him to others.

I contacted Mark regarding a concern that I had about the lead flashing on my chimney. He answered his phone immediately and after I explained my concerns he said that he would call round later that day to take a look. He arrived as agreed and immediately set about to take a close look with his drone, showing me the footage and taking multiple photos from different angles to study. Later that evening Mark sent me copies of the photos along with his professional opinion. A superb professional 5 star service.

Update 2026- had Mark and his team back to do more work for me last week to repair and replace the roof on a lower roof at the back of the house. Again a fantastic job by Mark and his team, great communication throughout, and Mark always communicated and showed me if there were any surprises that needed to be sorted during the job, and always explained thoroughly what needed to be done. Tidy workers too always left everything nice and tidy. You can tell by talking to Mark and by seeing the completed work that he cares about quiality and doing a job to the highest possible standards and gives attention to the details. Very happy with the work done as always. Thanks Mark. 2019 - A definite 5 star service from Mark and his team from start to finish. Mark came round to look at the job, took some photos and sent me a quote for the work. We planned a date for the work to be carried out, Mark also planned for the scaffold to go up and work was carried out when we'd agreed. My roof and chimney now looks amazing, I can't believe the difference. Very happy with the result, I would definitely recommend Mark for the excellent communication throughout, always kept me informed of what was happening and obviously for the quality of the work that was carried out.

Mark has done several jobs for us over the years, he is and always has been super helpful, honest and of course does a fantastic job. We recently had evidence of water ingress, Mark popped round, quickly identified the issue and had a solution which fixed the problem on the same day. I can't recommend Mark's work highly enough. Immaculate craftsmanship - who would know I enjoy looking at lead so much?! And just a really honest, reliable guy - have loads of different options for different affordabilities, always turned up when he said he would and took loads of photos of the work as he was doing it (which was great for our peace of mind in knowing exactly what improvements had been done).
