M Barks Chimney Sweep

M Barks Chimney Sweep is a family-run chimney sweeping business. The Barks family have provided chimney sweeping since 1971. It serves the Nottingham and Derby area, covering Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. It offers mess-free chimney sweeping. Other services include fitting chimney pots and cowls, bird guards, wood burning and multi fuel stove installation, service, repairs and maintenance, flue liner installation or replacement, bird nest removal and CCTV inspections.

In Nottingham, M Barks Chimney Sweep has earned a loyal following, with several reviewers returning for further jobs after poorer experiences elsewhere. The tasks most frequently described are chimney sweeping, fitting flue liners into existing fireplaces and installing log burners, all of which Martin and Rafal are said to handle with care and precision. Punctuality is a recurring theme, with arrivals described as prompt and unhurried, and much the same applies to tidiness: reviewers repeatedly note that sealing up and clearing away leave no mess behind.

Communication is another point that comes up often, with questions answered patiently and faults explained clearly. When a problem emerged after a completed job, the team came back to correct it and talked the customer through what had caused it. Charges are described as fair and representing good value, while the advice offered is characterised as honest and well informed, including one visit where a drone was used to inspect a roof and immediate work was sensibly postponed. Politeness and professionalism run through the accounts, and fitting a new liner features in several recommendations.
