Amber Chimney Sweeps

Amber Chimney Sweeps is a chimney sweep business based in Birmingham. The company is a member of the National Association of Chimney Sweeps (NACS) and holds public liability insurance. On completion of a sweep, it issues a NACS certificate and performs a post-sweep smoke evacuation check. Sweeping is carried out using advanced power sweeping rod technology with a HEPA vacuum for dust control.

Amber Chimney Sweeps provides chimney sweeping services for wood burners, multi-fuel stoves and open fires. It serves Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield. The company also offers a maintenance and replacement stove part service. The contact for Amber Chimney Sweeps is named Alastair.

Chimney sweeping for wood burners and open fires forms the core of the work customers describe, with flue cleaning, stove servicing and the removal of soot and debris featuring throughout the feedback. Alastair, named repeatedly in accounts, is praised for punctuality, arriving when he says he will, and for leaving the surrounding area spotless, with several customers noting that no dirt or mess is left behind after the sweep.

Reviewers frequently highlight his willingness to explain what he has done and to offer practical advice on getting the most from a stove, including guidance on fuel and burning technique, which many say has improved how their appliances perform. Communication comes up often too, from initial enquiries through to reminders ahead of appointments, and the tidiness of the finished job is a recurring theme.

Customers describe the service as thorough, with components sometimes dismantled more fully than previous sweeps, and the pricing is repeatedly called fair for the effort involved. Friendliness, patience with questions and a calm, professional manner are mentioned across many accounts, as is the speed of the visit. Log burners, chimney cleaning and flue maintenance remain the services that prompt the most comment, alongside the advice given after each appointment.
