Raw Chimney Sweep

Raw Chimney Sweep is a chimney sweeping business serving Plymouth and surrounding areas since the 1990s. The business is fully trained and insured, carries an I.D. badge, and drives a sign written company vehicle. It covers both domestic and commercial properties and issues Insurance approved certificates. Services include CCTV inspections with recording facility, safety checks, smoke tests, and cleaning of open fires, log burners, multi fuel stoves, Biomass boilers, AGA's and Rayburns, as well as repairing stove ropes and fittings and removing nests and other blockages.

Free advice on chimney problems is provided, and reminders are sent out. The business does not sweep DIY installed stoves, unregistered or non compliant fits. It services the Plymouth area including postcode areas PL1 to PL9, PL12 (Saltash, Cornwall) and PL21, but does not cover Tavistock, PL10, PL11 or Modbury.

Cleanliness and reliability emerge as the themes that matter most in feedback on this Plymouth chimney sweep. Adam, the sweep named throughout, is described as punctual and dependable, arriving when expected and working neatly enough that several customers remark on the absence of soot or dust, with rooms left tidy and pleasantly scented afterwards. Reviewers repeatedly highlight his knowledge of fire safety, ventilation, carbon monoxide alarms and suitable wood to burn, noting that he explains each stage of the sweep clearly and involves the household in what is happening.

Advice given between annual visits, including prompt answers and reminders when the next appointment falls due, is a point that comes up often. The work itself covers chimney sweeping for open fires and log burners, with the area carefully protected while brushes are in the flue. Long-standing customers returning over many years describe a consistent, professional approach, and the manner in which questions are handled without pressure to buy extras is regularly appreciated. It is the thoroughness of the clean, combined with plain-spoken guidance on maintaining a safe fire, that keeps being singled out.
