Goodfires Chimney Sweeping Ltd

Goodfires Chimney Sweeping Ltd has earned the lasting loyalty of households around Portsmouth, with customers returning season after season for chimney sweeping and log burner checks. An aspect raised across a number of reviews is the punctuality of Matt Carless, who is described as arriving when expected and working quickly and efficiently without cutting corners. Several buyers describe how thoroughly the flue is swept, noting that the chimney is left prepared for the following winter and that the burner is spotless inside and out once he has finished.

Reviewers frequently point to his friendly manner and his readiness to answer questions, offering advice on a burner's condition that gives owners reassurance. Helen, who manages the diary, is praised for arranging appointment times that suit households. Long-standing clients note the consistency of the service over many years, describing the work as good value and the finish as clean and tidy, with nothing left out of place. The same themes recur across the feedback: reliability, genuine expertise, careful cleaning and a courteous approach that has kept customers coming back, whether the property is old or new, and whether the job is a routine sweep or a check on a wood burner.
