Jim was really helpful. He inspected the chimney and made sensible suggestions which were practical and affordable. He visited promptly, was friendly and professional and he rectified the problem. I would definitely recommend him.

We recently had our chimney swept and a new installation done (with removal of the old stove), and honestly couldn’t be happier with the whole experience 😊 From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Jim explained everything clearly, and took real care to keep the place clean (which I really appreciated!). The new installation looks fantastic and works perfectly. It’s such a relief knowing everything is safe and done properly! Jim is super friendly and great to deal with. Great experience with black rock chimney sweeps jim was brilliant. Very clean and tidy informed us our baffle plate on chimney was warped so we could order a new one for the next sweep which he will fit for us next time at no extra charge 😀 we had a puppy that got in the way a few times and he was very patient with her. Would highly recommend jim to anyone needing a stove fitted or a sweep. 5 stars 🌟

Wood-burner stove chimney/pipe cleaning done. Superb service, excellent communication and very professional but also lovely chap. Even though he they didn't install the stove originally he went the extra mile and took time to explain how to use our stove correctly and optimally which I really appreciated. He also cleaned it all up. The price was correct and the going rate for this job which we were happy with.

Jim gave my log burner its first sweep and thorough overhaul, replacing the glass and giving it a wonderful clean and spruce up. He showed me how to create the most efficient fire with the 'jenga' style kindling. A real game changer. My log burner is now beautiful again, clean, efficient, chucking out great heat. Thanks Jim, you work cleanly and attended to all my log burning needs, always with a smile on your face. See you next year!

I contacted BlackRock as we were revamping our old Victorian house and wanted to put back a fireplace that was more sympathetic with the property. Jim was a font of knowledge explaining what would best fit the property using a modern, sustainable wood burner. BlackRock arranged everything from a bespoke hearth to sorting the chimney out. Nothing was too much effort or trouble, the turnaround was as quick as it could be for a business in demand and the workmanship was excellent. We now have a beautiful centrepiece which both looks stylish, is DEFRA approved and kicks out a lot of heat. I can't upload photos as it is shrouded in plastic as we are still decorating, but cannot stress how happy we are with our new wood burner and fireplace. Thank you!
