Couldn’t recommend Martin & Alex highly enough! So pleased with the quality of their work, sweeping and lining our chimney, and thrilled with our new stove. They left the place immaculately. A five star company!

I cannot recommend Martin & Alex of Former Glory highly enough. They recently removed an old back boiler from a plastered-over fireplace, opened up the original fireplace to fit a multi fuel wood burner. From start to finish, their workmanship was of the highest standard. They also fitted a new flue and chimney pot, carried out all the necessary building work, and left the fireplace looking fantastic. The attention to detail and quality of the finish were excellent throughout. I was also very impressed by how clean and tidy they kept the room while they worked. Despite the amount of dust and debris that could have been created by opening up the fireplace and removing the old boiler, they took great care to protect the room and clean up as they went along. Professional, reliable, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of their work. I am absolutely delighted with the finished result and would not hesitate to recommend Former Glory to anyone looking for fireplace or stove installation work.

Martin and his team took out my old fireplace and fitted a log burner. They were very professional, on time, completed the job when promised, and cleaned up thoroughly when they finished. I felt very comfortable with them in my home and they talked me through the process as they went. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to update their fireplace. I am so pleased with the transformation, my living room looks fantastic now. The first photo is what it looked like before. The seccond photo is when the work was completeled by Martin and his team.
