From start to finish Aaron and the team were brilliant. The work we had done was a new roof, total reboarding, new loft access, removal of chimney and new fascia soffits and rainwater goods. Throughout they were clean, punctual, communicative and conscientious of our little ones nap times! I have already been recommending them and will continue to do so.

Very pleased with the work provided by R&W Hughes. My porch roof was completed to a really high standard, very pleased with it. They also fitted vents in my main roof to prevent damp. Always friendly and professional. Would recommend them to anyone.

I paid for what was supposed to be a permanent roof repair, but just two weeks later, after a light rain, I noticed water stains reappearing on my ceiling. I called R&Hughes Roofing back and they kept giving me the runaround. For the price I paid, I expected the problem to actually be fixed, not patched temporarily.

I don’t normally write these reviews but the service and quality of work was so outstanding I had to. Dealing with the boys was such an easy process in replacing a fallen tile. They even fixed another loose tile and included it in the price. Would strongly recommend that if you like high quality work completed at great value for money you call the boys first

My first contact with R. and W. Hughes was some forty years ago when I had a serious problem with downdraft in a chimney. I had consulted several roofers and builders, but none could come up with a practical solution. R. and W. Hughes was the only company which was able to resolve the problem, and since that time I have engaged them for many jobs, all of which have been undertaken with the utmost skill and professionalism: installing new guttering around my current property (a three bedroom detached house built in 1939); the demolition of two tall chimneys and the insertion of an appropriate cowl; the construction of a pitched roof; the replacement of timber with PVC cladding; the re-roofing of my garage; and, most recently, the re-roofing of the main house. Work on this last project commenced on 14th August 2023 and was completed in two weeks despite the appalling weather conditions. I have been delighted with the new roof which, in addition to its stylish appearance, offers such benefits of modern technology as new breathable membranes and black ridge tiles fixed by the use of a mechanical dry fix system which obviates the need for cement or mortar. I have always been impressed with the skill, efficient organization and accessibility shown by this family firm. They have always responded immediately when there has been an emergency (e.g. repair to broken slates last autumn when I had rain water cascading into the back bedroom). In addition, as I was unable to gain access to my car because of the presence of scaffolding and a skip in the drive way while the re-roofing was being carried out, Mr W. Hughes drove me to the local supermarket to undertake my weekly shopping, a kindness which was much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending R. and W. Hughes for any roofing and building work.

I experienced some damage to my roof during the recent storms. I contacted Aaron at the weekend and he came to assess the damage very quickly. He is very responsive to messages and kept in touch regularly. Even if I was away from the property he was happy to continue and keep me informed. The work was completed within a short time frame and I can't recommend Aaron to you enough! Thank you so much.

The speed and professionalism shown by this company was first class. They certainly know their stuff and worked from early morning to late evening to get the repair job done.
